The usual threat used by a kidnapper to fend off an attacker is
“I’ll shoot the hostage if you shoot at me.”
But it only works if the hostage has value to the attacker.
- If Israel is the international hostage held by Iran to fend off western attacks against its nuclear bomb project, and
- If the west sees Israel as a thorn in the side of “World Peace”, then
what is the likely end game?
